Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

Everything you need to know before travelling to Thailand, including who needs a TDAC, when to apply, what information you'll need and how VisaPal can help.

What is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card?

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card, often shortened to TDAC or referred to as the Thailand arrival card, is Thailand's digital entry form for travellers. It replaces the older paper arrival forms that used to be completed by hand before or during arrival.

Instead of filling in a paper card, eligible travellers submit their details online through the official Thailand Immigration system. Where a TDAC is required, it is generally expected to be completed before arrival so the information is available when you enter Thailand.

The purpose of the system is to collect traveller identity, journey and stay information in a consistent digital format. That helps immigration processing and reduces reliance on paper forms at the border.

VisaPal does not operate the official Thailand Digital Arrival Card system. VisaPal is an independent assistance service that helps travellers prepare and submit a Thailand digital arrival card application when they prefer not to complete the process entirely on their own.

You can also complete the official TDAC directly through Thailand Immigration without paying for assistance. VisaPal charges only for its preparation and submission service.

Who needs a TDAC?

In broad terms, travellers entering Thailand may be required to complete a Thailand Digital Arrival Card before arrival. The Thailand entry form is designed for passenger arrivals rather than for people who never enter Thailand at all.

Exact requirements can vary depending on your travel circumstances. VisaPal cannot give immigration or legal advice and does not determine whether a TDAC is mandatory for every traveller in every situation.

Before you travel, check the official travel and immigration requirements that apply to your nationality, journey and purpose of visit. If a Thailand TDAC is required for your trip, complete it in good time so you are not left dealing with the form at the last minute.

If you already know you need a TDAC Thailand submission and want help preparing the application, you can start your application with VisaPal.

When should you apply?

Timing matters for a Thailand Digital Arrival Card application, and it is important to separate the official submission window from VisaPal's booking window.

Official TDAC submission window

Thailand Immigration currently allows TDAC submission within three days before arrival, including the arrival date. Using Thailand calendar dates, that means today, tomorrow or the following day.

VisaPal can only submit a TDAC through the official system once your arrival date falls inside that window.

VisaPal pre-booking

VisaPal accepts applications up to seven days before arrival. If your arrival date is outside the official submission window but still within VisaPal's seven-day booking period, your request is accepted as a secure pre-booking.

Applications outside the official submission window are securely held until they become eligible. VisaPal does not submit the TDAC early, and a pre-booking is not the same as immediate official submission.

Arrival dates before today, or more than seven days after today in Thailand time, are outside VisaPal's current booking window. If your trip is further ahead, wait until your arrival date comes within range before applying.

What information will you need?

A Thailand digital arrival card application asks for the details needed to identify you, describe your journey and record where you plan to stay. Having the information ready before you start makes the process quicker and reduces the chance of mistakes.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card requirements typically cover the categories below. Exact fields can change when Thailand Immigration updates the official form, so treat this as a practical checklist rather than a substitute for the live application.

  • Passport details

Your full name as shown in your passport, passport number, nationality, date of birth, gender and related identity fields required for the Thailand arrival card.

  • Travel details

Arrival date, departure date where applicable, country or territory where you boarded, purpose of travel, and mode of travel such as air, land or sea, including flight or vehicle details.

  • Accommodation in Thailand

The type of accommodation and the address details needed for your stay, including province and local address fields where required.

  • Contact information

A working email address and telephone number so VisaPal can deliver your completed TDAC and contact you about your application.

  • Recent travel history

Countries or territories stayed in during the two weeks before arrival, where the Thailand Digital Arrival Card application asks for this information.

Enter details carefully, especially passport names, passport numbers, dates and flight information. Small mismatches can delay processing or create problems later. VisaPal's Privacy Policy explains how this information is handled once you submit it.

How the process works

The VisaPal process is deliberately straightforward. You provide the required information once, pay for the assistance service, and receive the completed Thailand Digital Arrival Card by email when processing is finished.

  1. Confirm arrival date

Confirm your Thailand arrival date so VisaPal can accept your request.

  2. Enter details

Provide the passport, travel and accommodation details required for your TDAC.

  3. Secure payment

Select Standard or Express processing and complete payment through secure checkout.

  4. Receive completed TDAC

We process your request and send your completed TDAC directly to your email.

After payment is confirmed, VisaPal reviews the request and processes the TDAC when your arrival date is inside the official submission window. Pre-bookings are held securely until that point. The completed document is then emailed to you.

Before applying, you may also want to read VisaPal's Terms of Use for service scope, customer responsibilities and related conditions.

Frequently asked questions

These answers cover the questions travellers ask most often about the Thailand Digital Arrival Card and VisaPal's assistance service.

Is the TDAC mandatory?

Many travellers entering Thailand are required to complete a Thailand Digital Arrival Card before arrival. Requirements can depend on how and why you are travelling, so you should check the official travel and immigration guidance that applies to your journey before you travel. VisaPal helps with the application process but does not decide whether a TDAC is required in your case.

When can I apply?

Thailand Immigration currently allows official TDAC submission within three days before arrival, including the arrival date. VisaPal accepts assistance requests for arrival dates up to seven days in advance. If your arrival date is outside the official submission window, VisaPal can still accept the request as a pre-booking and process it once it becomes eligible.

Can I apply more than seven days before arrival?

VisaPal does not currently accept applications for arrival dates more than seven days ahead, based on Thailand calendar dates. If your trip is further away, wait until your arrival date falls within VisaPal’s booking window before starting an application.

How will I receive my TDAC?

Once VisaPal has processed your application, your completed Thailand Digital Arrival Card is emailed directly to the address you provided during your application.

How long does VisaPal keep my information?

Sensitive TDAC application information is retained for no more than seven days from VisaPal submission and is then permanently deleted. Limited non-sensitive operational or commercial records may be kept separately where needed for payment, accounting or legal purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does VisaPal store my card details?

No. Payments are processed through Stripe. VisaPal does not store your payment card number or CVC.

Can I edit my application?

If you notice an error after submitting your request, contact VisaPal support as soon as possible with your application reference. We will advise whether a correction is still possible before submission or before your completed TDAC is delivered.

Is VisaPal part of Thailand Immigration?

No. VisaPal is an independent travel-document assistance service. It is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Government of Thailand or Thailand Immigration. The official TDAC can also be completed directly through Thailand Immigration without using VisaPal.

Ready to apply?

VisaPal prepares and submits TDAC applications securely and emails the completed document directly to you. If you need a Thailand Digital Arrival Card and want help with the process, you can begin whenever your arrival date is within VisaPal's booking window.
